I've wanted an eye color quad from Tom Ford for the longest time now and I finally took the plunge. It was hard choosing just one because I wanted them all. I knew if I was only to buy one it would need to be one I could use on any given day. Cocoa Mirage won my heart over as it was the least shimmery and I think it is easily workable for day or evening wear. I'm in love! </div>

<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I used to be a fan of cleansing oils but have forgotten all about them as time passed by and new things have crossed my path. Tatcha's Pure One Step Cleansing Oil has really reignited my love for cleansing oils. I discovered Tatcha after stumbling across a Youtube video of the founder Victoria Tsai talking about her vision and purpose for Tatcha and was immediately intrigued (more like mesmerised). I did go a little bit crazy and purchased quite a lot of products considering I've never really heard of the brand before. If you are interested to see what I got in that haul click <a href="http://beautysimplysaid.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/haul-tatcha.html?m=1" target="_blank">here</a>. To find out my thoughts on the cleansing oil read more after the jump. </div>
<a name="more"></a><h3>
How I use it?</h3>
<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I know the name suggests that it is a one-step cleanser but I use it to remove my makeup at the end of each day and finish by going in with another cleanser (just to be sure all that daily gunk is gone!). If you however wear little to no makeup on a daily basis then this alone is enough. I especially wear quite a bit of eye makeup everyday and this product does a great job at removing all of it with ease. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<h3>
The Test</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I don't really wear waterproof makeup so I thought I'd do a swatch test on the Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof mascara and also two eye liners that I wear on a regular basis. </div>

Without any tugging or excessive rubbing the UD 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil came off like a dream and the majority of the mascara was gone. I was quite surprised that when I did this test the Dollywink Gel Eyeliner didn't completely come off. I didn't really have trouble removing it from my eyelids but on the hand it seemed to stay. It may have been that I've drawn a really thick layer which I don't usually do.</div>

<h3>
Review</h3>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Unlike other oils I've tried the Tatcha cleansing oil is really easy to rinse off. Once you add a little water it becomes milky, melting away all your makeup and washes away within a few splashes. The consistency is really lightweight almost like a gel/serum and it has a gentle floral scent. With some other oils like the SK-II one (a previous love), I found myself working a little harder to remove any residue. Most importantly my skin is left in perfect balance where it didn't feel stripped and did not feel or became more oily. I also really appreciate the pump packaging which is equally convenient and as it is luxurious. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I also purchased a travel set which had a travel size version of the cleansing oil (find it <a href="http://www.tatcha.com/shop/p-one-step-camellia-cleansing-oil-travel" target="_blank">here</a>). It was perfect for my recent travels to the US and the best part is that it's refillable. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<h3>
Would I repurchase it?</h3>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Overall, I really love this cleansing oil and would likely purchase it again. However I just purchased the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil which is next in line for me to try after I finish the Tatcha one. I'm really interested in how it would perform as it is considerably cheaper at $28US for the same 150ml size. I will have to get back to you on that one. And in case you're interetested I purchased mine directly from <a href="http://tatcha.com/">Tatcha.com</a> for $48US if you're living in Australia. Otherwise I saw it in Sephora US the last time I was there. Tatcha is not available at Sephora Australia yet. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<b>Rating: 4.5 out of 5 </b></div>

I've been lusting over this sculpt and highlighting duo for such a long time now. I've finally taken the plunge and purchased one after hearing/reading so many great reviews on it. I got mine off BeautyLish for $68USD if any of you guys from Australia wanted to get your hands on one. </div>

Being a combination skin gal it's always a challenge to find a product that helps me achieve that healthy glow without looking like a grease ball by the afternoon. With this I can still use my favourite semi-matte to matte bases underneath and still get that look of almost dewy skin. Not to mention it lasts throughout the day without wearing off. I even wore this combo and forgot blush one day and my colleagues didn't think I look washed out at all. They couldn't even tell I wasn't even wearing blush until I told them. Which is a good thing. </div>

T<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">he bronzer/sculpting powder itself is very flattering on my skin tone. Its also not too dark which makes it easy to control. I absolutely love the highlighting shade as it isn't too gold or too pink and isn't too shimmery. I tried taking photos with me wearing the duo but my photography skills are still too amateur. The best I could do was with an iPhone selfie. Sorry it's a little blurry.</span></div>

Ever since I received it in the mail I haven't been reaching for anything else. I will definitely be taking this on my travels to the States in the coming weeks. Now I really want to get an eyeshadow quad from Charlotte Tilbury but I'm not sure which to get first. Any suggestions? </div>

<div style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy holiday with lots of love and lots of FOOOD! It's been such a busy time for me with all the celebrations and juggling crazy work hours. I'm really sorry I haven't posted for a while and this post was supposed to come up last week but I was very sick and drained of all life *sad face*. That aside I'm feeling much better now and back on track. My blog goal for 2015 is to do at least a post every two weeks but hopefully more :)<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">In this post I will be reviewing my most recent day moisturiser with a super long name from the FaceShop, the Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Gel. I don't usually purchase products without first doing some research on them. On my way to pick up a replenishment of the Arsainte Ecotherapy Crystal Water Super Gel (Super Gel) also from The FaceShop this one caught my attention. Despite the long name it really screamed out at me. Chia seed? sounds good for you already. Sebum control? Yes please! And moisture? Take my money! For this review I will refer to this as the Chia Seed Gel since it is a gel rather than a cream and to make things easier. Excuse the bad photos as I have finished up the jar before taking photos and this was taken when I first bought it when the lighting was very bad. </span><br />

For evening use I prefer creams that do more than just hydrate but for the day time I'm always looking for something that will hydrate as well as keep my skin balanced throughout the day. The Chia Seed gel claims to do just that. So how well did it compare against a favourite of mine? Find out after the jump.<br />

<h4>
Review</h4>
</div>
<div style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">This oil-free gel is lightweight, clear and absorbs into the skin without it feeling sticky. </span>The scent was also light and pleasant. It worked well under makeup and didn't break me out. It really gentle and formulated without 7 additives such as parabens, sulfate and mineral oil which makes it great for sensitive skin.<br />
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br /></span>
Overall it really did give me what I needed which was a balance between hydration and oil control throughout the day. I did like it however the Super Gel really transformed my skin and really balanced the oily/combination/dehydrated situation I had going on at the time. The Chia Seed gel being nearly double the price (I paid approx. AU$40 for 50ml) of the Super Gel (AU$34 for 100ml) I did have high expectations. Performance wise I thought the Chia Seed Gel was a little more hydrating and had slightly better oil control. I'd recommend both for sensitive, combination to normal skin. If you're more on the oily side definitely try the Chia Seed Gel otherwise I think the Super Gel is definitely the better way to go for value and performance.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
YSL's Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas of all time. I almost feel like they don't receive the attention they're worth as they aren't as pretty on the outside as the Rouge Voluptes. I purchased Rouge Pur Couture The Mats in #210 (Nude Accoustic) a couple of weeks back together with the ever so popular #52. </div>

<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I own quite a few YSL lip products and I love each of them. I wanted to review this particular one as I have been reaching for it non-stop from the day I got it. It's just the perfect "my lips but better" (MLBB) colour that compliments my fair-medium complexion. Especially great when you don't want to think too much about balancing your lip colour with the rest of your makeup. It virtually goes with every look that I've tried from natural to slightly more dramatic. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The texture is also really comfortable on the lips. It's a semi-matte which doesn't leave your lips feeling dry like some other matte formulas out there. The lasting power is nothing impressive but it doesn't slip or slide even without lip liner. It has that signature YSL scent which I don't mind.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
And here's a photo I posted on Instagram where I went for a more natural look which has pretty much became my "everyday look". If you're into MLBB colours I highly recommend you look into this one. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
If you follow me on Instagram/Twitter you might have already seen me post a photo of my Tatcha package which arrived today. I've been interested in the brand for quite some time now and I am so excited to try them. They recently had a family and friends sale which was the perfect opportunity for me to pick a few items I've been eyeing. I originally wanted the Kaiseki set which contains deluxe sample sizes of all the products Tatcha has to offer but they sold out so fast! *sad face* The beauty junkie inside me just wanted to try everything but I missed out so I went with what I originally wanted. Tatcha also offers complimentary international shipping for orders over $250US which explains why I did some major hauling (<i>yes, I'm one of this people who would buy more just to avoid paying for shipping-bad habit!). </i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
What impressed me the most about Tatcha was the amount of care that has gone into the packaging which feels luxurious and elegant. Every item comes with its on leaflet which feels like a personal letter to the user. Read more on what I purchased and why after the jump!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This was the first product that sparked my interest as Rae from theRaeviewer recommended it particularly for those who may not like traditional cleansing oils or who are just starting out with them. $49US is relatively inexpensive compared to my previously loved SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil. A popular item by Tatcha. I get really oily during the Summer so these would come in handy. It's suppose to absorb excess oil without eliminating your skin's natural moisture. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I mentioned </span>back<span style="font-family: inherit;"> in June that I have been caught up on one of the latest beauty trends to hit Korea - cushions! In the last two years almost every Korean beauty brand has come up with some sort of cushion concept makeup, some offering many different ones to suit different needs. </span></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
If you're not familiar with cushion compacts they are designed to be and easier and more convenient way to apply your base makeup. Perfect for a girl on the go. I can remember back when BB creams were the latest craze the idea was to pat and press on the product with your fingers and the puff in way mimics that action. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">My </span>interest <span style="font-family: inherit;">in cushions was sparked with </span><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none;">IOPE Air Cushion XP which offered a more dewy finish. I really liked it but when I found out that Laneige was releasing the BB Cushion (Pore Control) I knew I had to pick it up knowing it's more ideal for oilier skin types or humid conditions.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Why are cushions so great? Cushion technology is suppose to improve foundation/BB/CC application by making it smoother to apply allowing for a more natural finish. This is achieved in 3 ways:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1.<i> </i><u>Cooling down the skin by 3 degrees celsius</u><i> </i>making it more ideal for makeup application and touch ups. This is via aeration through the air cushions on pressure and the double barrier packaging which keeps the product cooler. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. <u>Breaking up the particles</u> in the cream and hence creating a finer product. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. <u>Breakthrough puff</u> allows for more effective application. </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Review </span></h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Please be warned as my skin is no where near perfect. I have large pores, redness, hyper-pigmentation and acne scarring (let me say this once and for all, I hate high quality photos. You see everything!). Looking at the before and after shots below you can definitely see this BB cushion work it's magic (photos are 100% unretouched). With one layer I did manage to get <u>light-medium coverage</u>. My skin looks more even and the finish is a <u>natural semi-matte</u>. You can build it up to medium-full coverage if you wanted. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I purchased it in no. 21 Natural Beige which is a good match for my light-medium complexion. It didn't oxidise on me unlike some other BB creams I've tried. It also provides good sun protection of SPF 50 PA+++.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: start;">The puff really does give you better control over the amount of product you're applying and creates an even finish. It really is easy! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Having combination/oily </span>skin, oil control is definitely a huge factor for me. I find that the <span style="font-family: inherit;"><u>oil control and lasting power is good.</u> Used with a light setting powder I did need to </span>blot my t-zone towards the 6-7 hours mark (normally I'm an oil slick by the fourth hour). Most importantly it didn't break me out! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">One negative I have to add is that the BB cream has the tendency to cling on to dry patches so I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin or. Instead the IOPE Air Cushion XP would be more ideal with a more dewy finish. If you get the odd dry patch like I do exfoliating is a must.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">As with most cushions it does come with a refill and one refill lasts me approximately 6 weeks with everyday use. Prices range around $60AUD and you can purchase it off websites like YesStyle but I purchased mine off eBay as YesStyle didn't have it available at the time. Refills are also available separately.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Would I repurchase? </span></h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Yes. I've only tried two cushions so far and this is definitely my pick but the beauty addict in me has me curious to try others like the Innisfree Long Wear Cushion. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>

<br />
I'm a big fan of SK-II and have tried many products they have to offer. This is the first eye cream I have tried from SK-II and I definitely had high hopes. It claims to reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines with a lightweight formula which is everything I'm looking for in an eye cream. </div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">I apply this in the evening after the SK-II Ultimate Perfecting Essence LXP. I only use a very small amount (about half a pump) for both eyes. A little goes a long way. Using my ring finger I gently tap the cream in a circular motion around the eyes and extending it out a bit towards the temples. I did use this in the day as well but have substituted it with Mecca's To Save Eyes as it has SPF. </span></div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><b>Review</b></span></h4>
<div style="border: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">I really like this eye cream but I was left a little disappointed on how little it did for my dark circles. But then again, by now I should get the idea that no topical treatment could ever "permanently" diminish dark circles. I can say though my dark circles did not get any worse.</span></div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">On to the good points, I like that it provides just enough moisture for me whilst remaining lightweight. It didn't cause any irritation or milia (bumps). In the fine lines department I don't really have a huge issue as I'm in my mid 20s but I did see improvements in the overall skin texture in that area and my "fine lines" I think more like dehydration lines were softened. Even the next day my under eye concealer was applying more smoothly. All in all I think the positives outweighs the negatives. It would be one of my favourite eye creams I've tried but I haven't liked many to be honest as many of them are either quite rich and caused milia or was not hydrating enough.</span></div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">I do want to repurchase this but it was expensive at $125AUD for 15g of product. I'm sure there's something out there that does the same job for less. I just haven't found it yet. So I guess It's a no for now. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivSpyoTdZSPsgMV7p7bAuKYwi5ArCdTW72U_cRcvu2keoXnu4S0rCj2ba68KM8s6NsL9cHL41NTNXw0DLW5dd_a1Pp52TDX1ZMJ76RrL7961oS2ZJZx1XdxEq_pdWR0Yu5UnGQjixQqEr9/s640/blogger-image--488520570.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivSpyoTdZSPsgMV7p7bAuKYwi5ArCdTW72U_cRcvu2keoXnu4S0rCj2ba68KM8s6NsL9cHL41NTNXw0DLW5dd_a1Pp52TDX1ZMJ76RrL7961oS2ZJZx1XdxEq_pdWR0Yu5UnGQjixQqEr9/s640/blogger-image--488520570.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I hate to admit it but for a long time I was guilty of neglecting the skin on my body. I spend a heck of money on my face but when it came to my body I was only moisturising every now and then and that was it. Of course I cleansed with a ph balanced wash but didn't really incorporate scrubs as such into my routine.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lately I've been obsessed with body products and have bought a bunch of different care products experimenting with different scrubs and lotions. Thank Frank (the scrub) for that! It really got me interested in taking care of the skin on my body. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One product in particular has definitely changed my moisturising game. The main reason why I didn't use to moisturise everyday was because I was plain old LAZY! It was quite difficult for me to reach my back and really work any products in. Ro's Argan body conditioner had definitely made the process a whole lot easier. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After reading so many rave reviews from other bloggers I decided to pick one up for myself.</div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><b style="text-align: justify;">How I use it</b></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I use it right after washing my body in the shower. I apply a thin layer and let it sink in for a couple of minutes. Rinse off and gently pat dry. That's it! No rub in or wait time to get dressed required. I usually do this every night when I shower unless I'm planning to apply something heavier that night. At times I use it in the morning when I feel the need to pamper my skin.</div>

<b>Review</b></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The first thing you notice when you crack open that pot for the first time is the heavenly sweet rose scent. I'm crazy about rose scented products and the scent of this makes me look forward to using it each time. The rose absolue in this just lingers on. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The texture is light like a lotion but is packed with different oils such as argan, cocoa and shea to nourish and moisturise the skin. After use you will notice a thin layer of oil left on your skin but nothing too uncomfortable. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It leaves the skin feeling moisturised throughout the day or night and omg can I mention the scent again. It just fills your bathroom with a beautiful aroma where you just want to stay in there forever! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I've recommended it to a few of friends and have bought it for gifts and they all love it. Definitely something one must try. It is priced at $32.50 for 225g which is honestly quite luxe considering it lasts me under a month but in opinion it is well worth the splurge. </div>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></h3>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Would I repurchase it? </b></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Definitely, I'm already halfway through my second tub . It is soo addictive! I've definitely joined the cult following this amazing product. I hope they release different scents in the future or that other companies will make something like this as well! </div>

<br />
Hellooo again! It's now mid-July and time for me to post my favourites for the month of June. Better late than never, right? I missed out on May but most of the products I'll be mentioning I have been constantly reaching for through both months. Find out which products I've been loving after the jump!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a name='more'></a><b>Joico Smooth Cure Thermal Styling Protectant</b><br />
Since cutting my hair short a few months back, my hair has been in need of extra effort after each wash so that I don't end up looking like a feather duster. Back when I had long hair it was truly a "long hair don't care" life and it would look decent air dried. Oh how I miss it! Nowadays I have to at least blow dry it for it to look presentable. My hair gets quite oily so I tend to wash it everyday also meaning that I blow dry it daily which can be really damaging. Prevention is key! I've been using this heat protecting spray on damp hair before I blow dry and so far I haven't seen any damage at all. The bonus is it's light-weight and the fruity scent is really pleasant.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>By Terry Baume De Rose</b><br />
Now and then my lips would be dry and more often so this Winter. On a few occasions I have woken up to my horror with cracked lips. Ouch! This was such a splurge spend but the results have justified it some bit. I've been using it as a night treatment and have said bye bye to dry lips. Not only has it kept my lips hydrated, my lip colour is naturally more pink and even. </div>

<b>Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette</b><br />
This palette was originally brought out as a limited edition and I initially missed out as I was overseas when it was released in Australia. I was jumping for joy when hourglass brought it back as a permanent. I absolutely love this palette and it does wonders for my complexion. I use Dim Light on the centre of my face to blur out the pores, Incandescent Light as a highlighter and Radiant Light as a bronzer/contour. </div>

<b><br /></b>
<b>GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment</b><br />
The Aussie Winter has sent my skin in a dry craze this year. It's especially hard to manage dry areas when you have oily/combination skin like I do. I really love GlamGlow's Youthmud which I reviewed <a href="http://beautysimplysaid.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/review-glamglow-youthmud.html">here</a> and this product was released just in the nick of Winter. My first impression? This has got to be the best smelling face mask I've come across. It's almost like a vanilla creme brulee. I usually put this on twice a week overnight sometimes right after using Youthmud. My skin would smell amazing and feel amazingly hydrated the next morning without any greasy feeling. GlamGlow is just doing everything right aren't they? I'm waiting for their new product Powermud to hit Australian shores.<br />

<b><br /></b>
<b>Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette</b><br />
I have all three naked palettes as well as the Naked Basic but for some reason I have been reaching for this palette non-stop. Its just so easy to create a neutral eye which is my signature look. I especially like wearing Trick on its own or pairing Limit and Nooner for a natural contoured eye.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure</b><br />
This has been my go to blush lately. It's just the perfect warm rosy plum that enhances my complexion and lifts up a natural look. It lasts all day and is just as beautiful on as it is in the pan. I would really like to get more colours and try some more products from Hourglass. I only own the two products but I can tell their products are of exceptional quality. The primer and foundation are what I want to try next and maybe their blush in Etheral Glow when the warmer months come.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My cushion curiosity began with IOPE Air Cushion XP. I've reviewed the IOPE version before but have since refreshed my blog so if you would like me to repost that review let me know in the comments below. On to Laneige BB Cushion, the version I have is the Pore Control in No.21 Naturual Beige. I was atttracted to this formula as it is recommended for oily/combination skin types. I prefer this as it has more of a matte finish as compared to IOPE which has a slightly dewy effect. The coverage on this is buildable to medium and it does what the name suggests. My pores seem less noticeable with this on and the oil control is good as well but I might have to test it again in Summer to see whether it can withstand the Aussie heat.<br />
<br />
<b>Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream</b><br />
I've heard about this concealer from other bloggers from the UK. I'm not entirely familiar with the Bourjois range and this is the first product I've tried. I was in need of a new under eye concealer because the ones I owned were just not working that well on me anymore. My under eye area has also suffered this Winter and have also become dry. The fuller concealers were settling into my dry lines and enhancing them. I didn't have that problem with this and it covered my dark circles well. No. 22 Light Beige was a good match for me. The shade range is quite limited with three colours to choose from so I am lucky I found that suits me.<br />

As promised, here is my review on Chanel's Perfection Lumiere Velvet (PLV) foundation. Sorry it's been long overdue but I've now finished up the bottle and I am still deciding whether I should repurchase it or not. I guess we'll find out together at the end of this review.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><b>How I use it?</b><br />
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I first tried applying it with my fingers as recommended and also a brush but found that a damp BeautyBlender did the best job. I used the BeautyBlender Pro. The foundation had the tendency to settle a little too fast for my liking when applied with my fingers and was slightly harder to work with using a brush. I don't know, maybe I'm not doing it right? Point is it works a dream with the BeautyBlender. </div>

<b>Review </b></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have a love/hate relationship with the classic Perfection Lumiere. I liked the coverage and its lasting power but for me it was a little heavy for everyday wear and it would emphasise any dry patches I had. Which I do get every now and then<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">. </span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">When PLV was released I was quite excited and picked it up straight away since it seemed to be a lighter alternative. The first and biggest difference I found is the consistency, which is more liquid similar to Vita Lumiere Aqua which made it feel really light on the skin and it had a gorgeous "velvet" finish where Perfection Lumiere was more matte. </span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I have Perfection Lumiere in beige 20 which was a touch too light after my recent trip Asia but PLV in beige 20 oxidised to the perfect match. It's really quick and easy to apply which made it a no brainer "everyday go to". The packaging is also really sleek and travel friendly, taking up little room in my makeup bag.</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I loved that it lasted for more than most of the day on my combination skin. It worked great on my oily t-zone with no need for blotting/powder for a good 7 hours where usually I'd be oily at the 4-5 hour mark. The thinsg I liked most is that it had decent oil control without being too matte, provided enough coverage to hide those minor imperfections and didn't make my large pores more noticeable. </span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Yes at some point. It has replaced Perfection Lumiere on my favourites list but I always like trying new things and recently I've been caught up in the air cushion craze "hint hint". </span></div>

<br />
Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in two weeks as I have been a feeling unwell but I'm back with my favourites for the month of April.<br />
<div>
<br />
<h3>
<span style="text-align: justify;"><a name='more'></a>Cane + Austin Retexturizing Treatment Pads (10% Glycolic Acid)</span></h3>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been using this "miracle pad" for just over a month now and I can honestly say that this is the only product I have used that has significantly reduced the size of my pores. With ten per cent glycolic acid naturally derived from sugar cane it also improved the overall texture and clarity of my skin. </div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
GlamGlow Youthmud Tingleexfoliate Treatment</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Another pore buster! If you've read my review (<a href="http://beautysimplysaid.blogspot.com/2014/03/review-glamglow-youthmud.html">here</a>), you would know I love this product and it has been helping my skin stay congestion-free. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This has been my go to foundation for every day. The finish is just gorgeous being semi-matte with a slight glow. It feels very light on and is quickly applied with my Beauty Blender Pro. I previously loved Perfection Lumiere but it can be quite heavy looking. Beige 20 is the perfect match for me as I found it to run slightly darker than Perfection Lumiere which beige 20 was a little too light on me and 30 being too dark. I'll be doing a review on this foundation soon so watch this space. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Roses De Chloe Eau De Parfum</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This has been my favourite signature scent for a couple of months now. Its such a beautiful light and lingering scent of rose. Simply elegant. Reminds me of a freshly cut rose which suits almost every mood I have and the complimenting body lotion is just devine reminiscent of a freshly watered posy of roses.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3>
Frank Coffee Scrub - Original</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Frank has hit social media like a storm. I'm usually quite hesitant when it comes to trying hyped up items like this with the fear of it being simply over-hyped. I purchased it as I started to notice some light stretch marks on the area between my bottom and my thigh (what do you even call that?). I've only used it 3 times so far but I can already see an improvement on my stretch marks. Also, my skin feels so revived afterwards its such a bonus as it doesn't leave it dry or stripped. You are left with absolutely clean and pampered skin after "getting dirty" with Frank. <i>Warning: </i>make sure you wash out your shower or bath properly to avoid a horrified husband or whoever might be in there after you. </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now that I have shared some of my favourites. What are yours? Let me know below :)</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ezF1ISjsGB27jMeZ-b3FBjT-v7A9sZOIrI6XCjooMvduAbrgVU3OxXHuufgaElpgFUssFDyiBOnCXfRdUUl3iiFNQr4ehjuBcVspjJiqsUIjPGOXlURgsH_-ditV5NjwrEFOkxbLpJvg/s1600/Cleansing+Water+Caudalie+Bioderma+Garnier.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ezF1ISjsGB27jMeZ-b3FBjT-v7A9sZOIrI6XCjooMvduAbrgVU3OxXHuufgaElpgFUssFDyiBOnCXfRdUUl3iiFNQr4ehjuBcVspjJiqsUIjPGOXlURgsH_-ditV5NjwrEFOkxbLpJvg/s1600/Cleansing+Water+Caudalie+Bioderma+Garnier.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Today, I have a trio of micellar cleansing waters I want to share my thoughts on with you. I'm no science expert so I'm not even going to attempt to explain how micellar technology works but Lab Muffin has a post that explains it very clearly with diagrams <a href="http://www.labmuffin.com/2013/03/what-is-micellar-water-and-how-does-it.html">here</a> if you're interested.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I'm a firm believer in double cleansing. I usually follow the cleansing water with a cleanser and my Clarisonic unless of course it's been a crazy day and I only have enough energy to remove my makeup. Find out which is my favourite after the jump!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><a name='more'></a>Caudalie Cleansing Water</span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">As you can already tell, I've used this one the most as I have had it the longest. I have the older version, it has since been improved and repackaged. The first thing I noticed about this was the scent. It is quite fragrant and did irritate my eyes slightly. However, I did find it to be the most moisturizing out of the three but it did leave a sticky residue behind. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution</span></h3>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Bioderma Sensibio is a cult favourite and I can understand why. It was the most effective at removing my makeup and worked wonders with my eye makeup. I don't wear waterproof makeup so I can't comment on how good it removes it but it worked a treat for the makeup I wear on a daily basis and didn't irritate at all. It didn't leave any residue and suited my combination skin.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water</span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is most similar to Bioderma Sensibio. The scent and feel is similar. However, as I am a daily liquid eyeliner and mascara wearer and found it a bit difficult to remove my eye makeup. It took an extra cotton pad to remove it all off and required a little rubbing. Being the cheapest at half the price of the other two, I think it's a great product and would work great if you didn't wear a lot of eye makeup on a daily basis. I found it perfect for those days I chose to wear little makeup. It's also more accessible than the other two brands being readily available wherever Garnier is sold. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">My favourite ... </span></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">It's quite obvious but Bioderma is definitely the winner for me. Garnier comes in second and Caudalie is my least favourite as I can only use it to remove face makeup. I've also been enjoying using Suzuran Lily Bell Cleansing Cotton Wipes with the cleansing waters as they are like makeup wipes that haven't been soaked and one wipe is enough for the entire face.</span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS52sreToGFP_XeIcZYMRVei7TAsH-D3QAVirBotfVa3m-O8G6-Y4ImXBCkF5hJNn9lwgz1Hzwzmld2doPzsdLa7gueWsk2T9Qsz79JADVk1FdnWU6xLaRg_t_pmnv1_PzVvEDadl1iMVQ/s1600/IMG_2203.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS52sreToGFP_XeIcZYMRVei7TAsH-D3QAVirBotfVa3m-O8G6-Y4ImXBCkF5hJNn9lwgz1Hzwzmld2doPzsdLa7gueWsk2T9Qsz79JADVk1FdnWU6xLaRg_t_pmnv1_PzVvEDadl1iMVQ/s1600/IMG_2203.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I must confess, I'm Chanel kind of girl and it extends to cosmetics as well. I generally do like their foundations but was on the fence on Perfection Lumiere as it can look a little too heavy at times. When I heard they were releasing a lighter alternative I picked one up as soon as it hit counters here in Australia. I also couldn't resist this pretty little limited edition illuminating powder called Dentelle Precieuse which translates to "precious lace". I was matched with 20 Beige in the new Perfection Lumiere Velvet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIMTWvGy8TG_9bFGhC1QQoX1hcxGnh6uR4EmJjo4vSRb6v3Lwl512vHSNriH34ZY27Am7FEvFaNULcuMAt7VnvE5nLVm571KdoVTyumzFfyp8s0SfbbSwSfZtQZbGfu3_JXZVvMkQrzwby/s1600/IMG_2200.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIMTWvGy8TG_9bFGhC1QQoX1hcxGnh6uR4EmJjo4vSRb6v3Lwl512vHSNriH34ZY27Am7FEvFaNULcuMAt7VnvE5nLVm571KdoVTyumzFfyp8s0SfbbSwSfZtQZbGfu3_JXZVvMkQrzwby/s1600/IMG_2200.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In closer detail without flash, you can see the intricacy of the lace impression on the powder. This one will definitely hurt to use. It's just so gorgeous you would want to keep it in new condition. Such a shame as its a limited edition much like my all time favourite highlighter from Chanel, Lumiere Sculptee De Chanel. However, I'm not the type to buy two of the same colour item. As much as I like it, it would take me ages to go through one as I am constantly buying and trying something new. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm going to test this new foundation out for the next week or two and check back with you. So stay tuned and follow me for upcoming reviews if you haven't already. Hopefully it'll be a favourite.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKGmHRqh3H5cDD-GT0n2FP1iEh-rUV3VqxV8lpMqzC9Ut-2-mFVU2dDCOUY3gQjU7cFo8n51clsq24N9Iy71ReuNVSUsM27h6MFPB469aumvLH0VO1OMKzMuhVlmed5CasGowXDQl8P4F9/s1600/the_face_shop_hydrogel_spray_pack.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKGmHRqh3H5cDD-GT0n2FP1iEh-rUV3VqxV8lpMqzC9Ut-2-mFVU2dDCOUY3gQjU7cFo8n51clsq24N9Iy71ReuNVSUsM27h6MFPB469aumvLH0VO1OMKzMuhVlmed5CasGowXDQl8P4F9/s1600/the_face_shop_hydrogel_spray_pack.jpg" height="640" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Face Shop's Hydro Gel Spray Pack is designed to be a one size fit all hydration mask for the face and neck. If you have ever used Laneige's Water Sleeping Pack, this mask reminds me of that, except it's more liquid and is sprayed on - <i>more hygienic</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I actually purchased this for the hubby as they were out of stock of his usual Neo Classic Homme sheet masks. Of course the mask junkie inside me had to give it a test run and I was quite pleased. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
How I use it?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After cleansing my face, applying toner and SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, I spray this directly onto my face about 6-8 times. I then gently pat it in, allowing the product sink in. I use this how I would use my Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. That is, whenever I need extra hydration but am too buggered and lazy to wait for a sheet mask to do its thing. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Review</h3>
<div>
To be honest, I didn't expect much when I first tried this mask as its consistency was quite fluid and just a tad thicker than Avene's Thermal Spring Water spray. Until the next morning, my skin felt really hydrated and soft with no sticky residue. If you're looking for a basic hassle free hydration mask this is the one for you. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h3>
Would I repurchase? </h3>
</div>
<div>
Yes. But I think this bottle will last me for a very long time. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Just a short post tonight, before I go to bed. I picked up several items from Illamasqua today some of which I have been eyeing for a while now. They are just so pretty lined up together. </div>

My skin is mostly congested in my t-zone and the chin area. I've read so many great reviews of GlamGlow's facial mud masks that I had to try it for myself. I opted for the Youthmud as the sales assistant recommended I start with Youthmud and progress to the Supermud if needed.</span><br />

I've always like the idea of mud masks and have tried at least a dozen different ones, from drugstore to high-end. I've found a few which I do like but haven't found "the one" until I discovered this little gem, which has quickly gained HG status in my beauty cabinet. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It was like love at first sight. I wanted to rave about it from the first time I used but wanted to make sure I would give it a good use before reviewing. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>How I use it? </b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I currently use this mask on a once weekly basis. My tip, follow the instructions carefully on this one. I use a spatula to loosen and mix the product before each use. I initially applied it to a clean face using my fingers but found that a brush did a better job. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes until the mask is dry and remove it using cool water, gently massaging in a circular motion.<br />
<br />
<h3>
Results</h3>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The first time I used this mask I was quite shocked at the results. My first reaction was <i>OMG my pores look huge. </i>Shortly I realized the mask did its job and the reason my pores were so visible was because all the gunk that was congested under my skin for all that time had washed away with the mask! With each use I could see an improvement in skin clarity and my pores are looking less visible. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This mask did cause crazy tingling which was almost a burning sensation but it went away after a minute. It didn't bother me too much as I could feel and see it working. My skin wasn't irritated or left with any redness afterwards either. I will start using it twice weekly as recommended. I only started with once a week as I was scared it was too harsh to use too often but I am absolutely loving this mask and it hasn't caused any problems. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Would I repurchase?</h3>
<div>
Yes. I would definitely repurchase this mask. I am now eager to try the Supermud version as well.</div>

I hate to admit it but I'm a face mask junkie, especially the sheet varieties. Over the years, I've tried loads of different masks from different brands that promise to do all different things for my skin. Today, I will share with you the ones I tend to reach for and repurchased multiple times. These are my top eight, including six facial masks and two eye masks. </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<h3>
<b>SK-II Whitening Source Derm Revival Mask</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is my "special occassion" treat as it is the most expensive retailing at AUD160 for 6 pieces. I usually wait for Myer's beauty sales to splurge on these. These are perfect for when I know I have a special event on the next day. They also have little eye flaps which go over the eye lids so my eyes can also benefit making it a two in one treatment. I'd pop one of these one for 30 minutes and by the next day my skin is plumper, more even and radiant allowing for better makeup application. I also love the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask but these work better on my dark spots.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrGN5Blz2G50bE_OOflGbiA0ym2Tir8V1AatK6lR-WCRo3miwbQ8mOVpHUXgp9xNiJXfvwnvIcd9d3W0cOX94S2kfquIu3m8HcZIGLMMypSagcEXaRSEQ-bPkqEW3zdt2n95nQkKwRlwjL/s1600/IMG_1980.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrGN5Blz2G50bE_OOflGbiA0ym2Tir8V1AatK6lR-WCRo3miwbQ8mOVpHUXgp9xNiJXfvwnvIcd9d3W0cOX94S2kfquIu3m8HcZIGLMMypSagcEXaRSEQ-bPkqEW3zdt2n95nQkKwRlwjL/s1600/IMG_1980.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<h3>
<b>My Beauty Diary Masks</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
These are my go to face masks for every other day as they are reasonably affordable and easily accessible. I usually purchase mine in Chinatown or on websites like Sasa and YesStyle priced between AUD12-15 for 5/10 pieces. I usually use a sheet mask 2-3 times a week where I can, changing up different types depending on my skin situation at the time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<b>Natto Mask (Moisturizing and Tightening): </b>I use this mask on days where I feel my skin is a little sensitive or on days where I only feel the need for basic nourishment.<br />
<br />
<b>Apple Mask (Pore Tightening, Brightening and Clarifying): </b>For those troublesome times in the month, I use this mask to keep those blemishes at bay.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Black Pearl Mask (Optimal Whitening, Brightening and Moisturizing): </span>One of the bestsellers in the range. It's perfect for when my skin is looking a bit dull and lifeless. <br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Imperial Bird's Nest Mask (Ultra Nourishing and Hydration): </span>A new winter favourite. Whenever I feel my skin is dehydrated or when I get those annoying dry patches around my cheeks and chin these save me. <br />
<br />
<b>Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask: </b>These eye masks are great for dark circles and puffiness. Although the results are only temporary and last only a day or two.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCi8wVHFefuwbre1QA0Xtyeo-gtB1AnhsWpddDIE4DNflypzwyW6A420Hdqsp8gr7agdlfO6vD88peM6MbCE9eLs6prlPOz00eLWvR9SCP38eCrG1AY1yFzUF9jWcU4ZPaz7Yz3p2ZIMoq/s1600/IMG_1981.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCi8wVHFefuwbre1QA0Xtyeo-gtB1AnhsWpddDIE4DNflypzwyW6A420Hdqsp8gr7agdlfO6vD88peM6MbCE9eLs6prlPOz00eLWvR9SCP38eCrG1AY1yFzUF9jWcU4ZPaz7Yz3p2ZIMoq/s1600/IMG_1981.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h3>
TonyMoly Intense Care Snail Masks</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Snail mucus?! I was initially a little squirmish at the thought but I gave it a try and loved it! Both of these have a unique texture. They are gel, almost jelly like rather than a cotton sheet that is more commonly seen. This makes them feel a little more delicate to work with but I find they form better on my face.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Hydro-gel Face Mask</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The face masks are pricier than the My Beauty Diary ones but they are more intensive. They cost around AUD8 a piece but I stocked up in Hong Kong where they had a buy 5 get 1 offer which worked out to be around AUD5 a piece. I like to use these every now when I need a complete pickup. These just leave my skin feeling so nourished and I feel it helped with my overall complexion. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Eye Mask</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The eye masks can be purchased as a pair but I opted for the more economical jumbo jar of 15 pairs which costs around AUD30. I like these as they are hydrating and cooling on the eye area. I place a pair of these once a week and enjoy the soothing relaxation. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What's your favourite face mask? I'm always looking for new things to try and would love to hear your recommendations :)</div>

<span style="text-align: justify;">I was immediately attracted to this product because of its packaging. How incredibly travel friendly! I must confess I'm a loose powder kind of girl but it is a nightmare to carry around. Agent Zero Shine is so cute and compact I have no problems at all taking it with me whenever I need to touch up.</span></div>
<span style="text-align: justify;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
How to use it?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The packaging allows for super easy application especially when you're out and about. The mouth of the bottle resembles that of baby powder, which makes it spill proof. Remove the cap, twist open the chamber, tap the appropriate amount of product into the lid and sweep! It is even equipped with a hidden brush in the base. The brush itself is really soft, especially for something that came together with a powder. No scratchy brush here and a brush is always more hygienic. It's super easy to use, I probably didn't even need a mirror.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Agent Zero Shine claims to:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- <i>Minimises shine: </i>tick!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- <i>Smooths the look of pores: </i>tick!<br />
<br />
It definitely delivers what it promises. It pairs well with multiple base products. Chanel's CC Cream, Giorgio Armani's Maestro Foundation and Skin79 BB Cream just to name a few. It eliminates shine and minimizes pore with ease.<br />
<br />
I also tried using this product to set my base makeup to test out it how well it performs in the <i>oil control</i> department. I didn't see any mentions of oil control on the packaging but you would assume a product called Agent Zero Shine would keep oiliness at bay. I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. The shine surfaced around the 6 hour mark in my oily t-zone. Compared with other setting powders I own, this one was not the standout. Tarte's Smooth Operator is still my HG. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Would I repurchase?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes. I liked the packaging concept of the Agent Zero Shine it's definitely my favourite touch up companion so far. However, I still prefer other powders to set as I feel the oil control is better. If only it was refillable with any powder of choice.</div>

<br />
The Clarins Double Serum promises to deliver intensive anti-ageing treatment with the power of two serums in one. The two serums containing hydric (water-soluble) and lipidic (oil-soluble) ingredients based on 20 different plants are kept in separate chambers and are combined once pumped onto the palm and mixed well. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Clarins claims the use of this power serum can reactivate of our skin's five vital functions:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- Hydration</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- Nutrition</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>How I use it? </b></h3>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The directions advised two pumps, day and night but I preferred one pump day and two at night when I feel my skin needs the extra nourishment whilst I sleep and recover. I pump the product directly into my palms and warm it up between my palms before I pat it onto my face, neck and decollete. I use it after my SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and follow with my moisturiser. My current favourite moisturiser is the Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel.</div>

<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Results</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This serum is a surprise favourite of mine. One of my close friends tried it and loved it but she had normal to dry skin. I didn't think it would've been suitable for my combination skin due to its oily texture but it did and it didn't make my t-zone more oily. I can honestly say that this is the first serum I finished completely without feeling the need to try another one in between because I saw an improvement in my skin overall in a short period of time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The outer box suggests the serum will:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
-<i> Firm and reduce the look of fine lines: </i>As I am only in my early twenties, I can't speak much of fine lines and wrinkles but I did see an improvement in some lines I had on my neck and my skin felt overall more firm and supple.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- <i>Restore radiance and even out complexion: </i>This I definitely saw within 2 weeks of use. My skin had that glow, redness was at bay and some darker areas around my chin seemed to lighten.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
-<i> Make pores less visible: </i>My pores do seem slightly less visible but as I do have enlarged pores in my t-zone particularly on my nose. It will take longer use to see a better difference or perhaps a miracle product to make them invisible.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Overall, my skin feels healthier, firmer and more balanced with the use of the Double Serum. The product absorbs very quickly and does not feel heavy or sticky as I had thought. It wears well under my makeup and gives me a little bit of a radiant glow. By far one of the best serums I've tried as it delivered results fast.<br />
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Would I repurchase?</h3>
<div>
Definitely yes! In fact, I already picked up a duo pack as backup at the airport on the way back from my recent holiday. </div>

As I started this post, I was going to review a skincare product that I have been absolutely loving lately but decided to hold that off for my next post. I will start by telling you a little about me, my skin story to be exact. Let's start with my teen years, age 12. The first year of high school, puberty hit me quite badly, my skin suffered. My skin broke out and was oily overall. Now I can tell you about my decade battling skin troubles but that'd be excessive. To cut the story short, I've tried so many products I've lost count. None seem to have worked nor made it any better. From drugstore to higher end brands, I've experimented with countless blemish fighting products. I even tried Proactiv which did more damage if anything. I gave up believing it is all hormonal and all I can do is wait.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The acne and oiliness stayed for most of my life until my early twenties, which was when I learnt the importance of a good skincare regime, a <strike>healthy</strike> healthier diet and most importantly drinking plenty of water. In my first few years of uni the breakouts began to clear. My skin was now combination, oily in the t-zone and normal to dry in the cheek area. While I can't speak for the troubles during my teen years, I discovered in the past year that the true cause of my oily t-zone was due to dehydration. My skin is also quite sensitive which means the wrong products would irritate it more, cause breakouts and redness.<br />
<br />
I found recently that by switching out my usual oil control moisturiser for one that was gel based which also targeted hydration, my skin has become as close to normal than it has ever been. I'm now only slightly oily in the t-zone towards the end of the day where in the past I was usually a fry pan by midday. Now I only need to find a treatment for the years of acne scarring, hyper-pigmentation and enlarged pores. Which is probably the toughest ones to treat.<br />
<br />
That's it guys a summary of my skin history. The important thing to remember is everyone's skin is different. What may work for me, may or may not work for you and vice versa. But if your skin is similar to mine - combination/sensitive, then hopefully my experiences will help you. I will share with you in the future the products I love which have worked for me. Stay tuned for makeup and skincare reviews soon to come!<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My name is Kathy and this is my beauty blog. To begin, this isn't my first blog. I started my previous blog years ago when I was just growing up. Now that I have matured a little and have gained a better understanding of who I am, I wanted my blog to reflect that more. A <i>fresh start</i>, I guess.</div>

I like to think of myself as a simple woman. I'm not going to lie, I also indulge in luxuries once in a while because you only live once. Here is where I will post my thoughts on personal beauty encounters in a way that's "simply said". There will also be the occasional post on the things I find beautiful in my life not just those that are cosmetics related. Feel free to comment, I would love some friendly feedback. And definitely feel free to say hi! <span style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(175, 192, 227, 0.230469); -webkit-composition-frame-color: rgba(77, 128, 180, 0.230469); -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.292969);">I hope you find my input helpful even though it may be only itsy bitsy but it is also 100% honest. </span></div>
